Though rather small, Jazeera’s difficulties with overcapacity are afflicting carriers of all sizes across the region. Rival Air Arabia, for example, blamed excess competitive capacity for weaker-than-usual fourth-quarter profits. Jazeera itself posted a heavy fourth-quarter loss.
